Play golf – naturally in Goms, the mountain village

You have put me in so many unlikely places! Frequently, you have done really well. Sometimes, however, you have bruised me quite horribly. Those are the times I hide in tall grass or behind a tree. Whenever I am in a really bad mood, I bury myself in the sand. Most of the time, I am well-disposed, though. I turn around and stand still in the dimness. Before long, I am driven again toward a new goal. Good day, I am your golf ball.

Play golf on an altitude of 1400 metres above sea level? In the mountain village Goms, the most beautiful and longest 9-hole course in Switzerland hopes to welcome your talent. The golf course “Source du Rhône” in Obergesteln impresses you with its quality fairways and greens as well as with its natural purity and divine views.

The course is a challenge for players of all abilities. You need to play intelligently to overcome the water hazards, biotopes and brooks, the strategically placed sand traps and undulated greens. Measuring 6040 metres, the course is one of the longest 9-hole courses. There are also several opportunities for long drives.

Direct your gaze from the Rhône valley over unspoilt territories to snow-capped peaks of the Weisshorn or the Galenstock. The varied landscape is always surprising and fascinating.

If you need further challenges, you will find three more alpine golf courses in close proximity on Riederalp, Realp and near Zermatt. The 18-hole courses in Leuk, Siders, Montana and Sitten make Valais one of the top golf destinations in the Alps.

In 2016, the most interesting golf courses for tourists joined together to found the Golf Region Andermatt (Andermatt Swiss Alps, Realp, Sedrun and Source du Rhône). They have decided to offer their members a great joint package.

The 9-whole membership in Realp, Sedrun and Source du Rhône gives you unrestricted access to all 27 holes of the three Partner Clubs from Monday to Friday (weekends 50% discount).

Additionally, members of the three clubs will get a 50% discount (Monday to Friday) or 20% (Saturday, Sunday, holidays) on playing the Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course (Switzerland’s Best Golf Course 2016).
