Ossuary

The ossuary was probably built in the 3rd quarter of the 17th century. On the facade, a St. Andrew's cross, as a beam support structure for the shingle roof, adorns the gable peak.

Caesar Ritz: The famous "king of hoteliers and hotelier of kings" was from Niederwald and is buried in the adjacent cemetery.
